For schools & training providers

# Reach the adults who skipped the four-year plan We connect trade schools, community colleges, and training providers with people actively looking for a career change.

Free for students · Schools pay per request

Every lead on CareerDirecting comes from a real person who filled out a five-question form: what kind of work they want, how far they got in school, when they can start, and their ZIP code. If your school teaches it near their ZIP, your admissions team gets the request directly.

- Requests match on interest and ZIP code — no spray-and-pray.
- Adults, career changers, and people told they "need a degree."
- Current partners get a dedicated information page on this site.

In short

CareerDirecting is a free school-matching service for prospective students and a paid request source for schools. Students fill out a short form; we route each request to partner schools that teach the selected field near the student's ZIP code. The form captures interest, education level, start timeline, and contact details — the questions your admissions team actually needs answered first.

## Who the students are

The adults this site is built for were told, somewhere along the way, that a four-year degree was the only respectable next step — and it wasn't the right one. They're career changers in their 30s, 40s, and 50s; parents who need night schedules; people with a GED or some college and a specific hunger for steady, hands-on work. They arrive with real questions: how much does it cost, how long does it take, will I actually get hired. The pages they read before they fill out the form name costs and pay figures with sources, so by the time they reach you, the easy part of the conversation is done.

They're asked directly on the form how soon they can start and whether they want evening or in-person options, so the volume of unqualified calls stays low.

## What a request looks like

| Interest | Skilled trades, truck driving, healthcare, auto & diesel, beauty, IT — or "not sure yet" |
|---|---|
| Education | Some high school, diploma/GED, some college, or a degree |
| Timing | ASAP, 1–3 months, later this year, or just looking |
| Format | In person near them, online, or either |
| Contact | Name, phone, ZIP, email, with TCPA consent language recorded |

Every request carries the page it came from, so you know whether someone read your program page or filled out a general form. Records include consent text and attribution data.

## What we expect from partner schools

We tell students to ask three questions of every school: total cost in writing, what last year's graduates did, and who helps them find work after. We hold partners to the same standard we advertise. Schools that can't or won't answer those questions don't belong here, and students can report bad experiences through this site. That's not a compliance line — it's the product.

### Ask about partnership

Fill out the form and choose your field of teaching — our team will get back to you about matching schools with requests in your area.

## Questions from schools

### How are requests routed?

By the interest the student picked and their ZIP code. A welding request near your campus goes to welding-partner schools near that ZIP — not to every partner on the list.

### What does it cost?

Students pay nothing. Schools pay per matched request, under an agreement set with us directly. Use the form on this page to start that conversation.

### Do you verify schools?

We expect partners to be licensed and to answer the cost-and-outcomes questions we publish on every career page. Our student-facing pages tell people plainly that we're not a school and that our list doesn't include every school in their area. We don't rank schools.

### What consent language comes with a request?

Each request records the TCPA consent text the student agreed to, along with the page URL and attribution data, so your compliance team can verify exactly what was agreed to and when.

### Can we get our programs listed on a state or city page?

Partner schools can be featured on the state and city pages their campuses serve. The pages themselves stay editorial — real, sourced information first — so the listing works as context, not as an ad.
